M & W Countertops Inc., is a family-owned custom countertop manufacturer and wholesaler situated in the picturesque heart of Amish farm country in rural Indiana.  We have been building quality products to order since 1974, giving us over 30 years of experience in the industry.  Our initials stand for “Miller and Wagler”, but Dan Wagler bought out Miller in 1977.  Despite this, it was decided to keep the name and “M & W” remained intact.  Dan was joined by his brother Bill to form a new partnership later that same year.    

We first started our business in a chicken coop of all places, but today our company has grown to encompass 43,000 square feet and employs 30 people.  As we have grown, we have not forgotten our original dedication to quality.  We utilize all the latest computer controlled equipment, but much of our finishing work is still done by highly skilled craftsmen, many of whom have been working with us for over two decades.  Unlike most of our competitors, we strive to provide a higher level of service, including assembly of our products when possible.  Our service area is roughly a 100 mile radius of Fort Wayne, Indiana, and we offer delivery directly to your cabinet shop or retail cabinet location. 

We work with a wide range of materials in both laminates and solid surfaces, as well as an almost limitless variety of styles, configurations, and color selections.  Common laminate brands we have used include Formica, Wilsonart, Pionite, and Nevamar.  Examples of solid surface brands we have worked with are Corian, Gibraltar, Formica, Hi-Macs, Avonite, Hanex, and Alura.  We will also work with other materials upon request.  We use substraight made from plywood, particle board, or moisture resistant particle board.  Additionally, we now use “PVA” – or polyvinyl acetate – glue, which is less heat sensitive while also being much safer for the environment than other adhesives.  We believe that being ecologically responsible and successful in our field can and should go hand in hand.

M & W Countertops is also an active supporter of our local community.  We are proud to participate in several local charities and community service projects.  We know that without the loyal patronage of people from the surrounding area, we would not have attained the success we know today.  This is our way of saying thank you, as well as giving something back to show our gratitude for the unflagging support we have received over the years.
